Moving forklifts or other working machines can be equipped with radio detectors. In these cases, the operating principle is that all the machines will send information on their location and listen to one another. When the machines have a preset distance from one another, the detection unit will signal the proximity of another machine in the form of a sound and light signal. Then, for example, a reversing machine between shelves will receive the information on the machine moving on the aisle even before visual contact, and vice versa. The system improves safety whenever visibility is restricted.
The radio detector can also be utilized at door openings to warn machines arriving from the aisle sideways. The door unit will send a signal and listen to the moving machines, and when it hears the signal, it will start blinking and, respectively, the unit in the machine will trigger a light and sound signal alarm.
